George Stevens, Jr., a summer resident of Islesboro, Founder of The American Film Institute, and 37-year producer of the Kennedy Center honors, published a new memoir in May this year: My Place in the Sun: Life in the Golden Age of Hollywood and Washington. He will recount some of his times with a most remarkable assembly of accomplished friends and colleagues from the entertainment world, government, politics and journalism. Extraordinary people from the late 20th and early 21st Century animate his many stories throughout unusual shared times.
