DESCRIPTION:William G. Rosenberg\, Phd. is Professor of Russian History Emeritus at the University of Michigan and\, Vice Chair\, Board of Trustees at the European University at St. Petersburg.  His first trip to Russia was in 1967\, and has been the author of several books on Russia and China.  Rather than the usual Forum lecture\, he prefers to make a few remarks\, Rosenberg will respond in discussion to questions or particular issues raised from the participating Forum audience.  Bill Rosenberg and his wife Elie now live in Brunswick\, and are long-term summer residents of Islesboro.
