DESCRIPTION:A look at a local sea farm’s effort to diversify the marine economy in a changing world. \nShey lives on Islesboro with her husband\, Josh\, and two children. Together they own and operate Islesboro Marine\, a full-service boatyard that diversified into aquaculture in 2016 growing Marshall Cove Mussels. Shey came to Islesboro in 2002 as an Island Fellow\, and continued her career at the Island Institute\, leaving in 2017 as VP of Programs. Shey is now focused on their local family business and its growth into aquaculture and serves on a number of community boards.
