Dr. Amanda Stent: “Being Human in the Age of Generative AI”

Dr. Amanda Stent is inaugural director of the Davis Institute for Artificial Intelligence at Colby College. She previously held positions at Bloomberg, Yahoo, AT&T Labs – Research and Stony Brook University.  She has a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Rochester. Dr. Stent has authored or co-authored over 100 papers on natural language processing and is co-inventor on over 35 patents. She is a fellow of the Association for Computational Linguistics and a senior member of the Association for Computing Machinery, and is board co-chair of the Computing Research Association Committee on Widening Participation in Computing Research.
